Dr. Yunhui Zhu received her B.S in physics from Peking University in 2007, and received her Ph.D. in physics from Duke University in 2013. After that, she has worked as research scientist in Professor Barbastathis's lab for 2 year. Currently, she is starting her research group of 3D optical information group as an assistant professor in the ECE department of Virginal Tech. Her research has been focusing on information processing in optical systems, including nonlinear optical fiber communication channel, quantum temporal imaging and X-ray phase imaging for security and medical applications.

I am now in my first year of Ph.D. program in the ECE department at Virginia Tech. I work in the 3D Optical Information Group and I am advised by Professor Yunhui Zhu. I gained my bachelor degree in Huazhong University of Science and Technology. My general fields of interest are digital imaging processing, machine learning and parallel computation. Currently I am doing research about quantitative phase imaging and SAXS, which is a collaborated project with X-ray System Lab in Virginia Tech.
I am a first-year PhD candidate at Virginia Tech and a member of the lovely 3D optical information group. My advisor is Dr. Yunhui Zhu. I am generally interested in imaging system and physical modeling. My current main research areas are X-ray scattering imaging and super-resolution phase imaging.
I obtained a B.Science in Physics from University of Science and Technology of China in 2016.
